Lila has begun crawling. Ahhhh, and I didn't even teach her how. She's only 6 months at the rate she will be walking at 9. Oh Lord help me.
It all began as rolling and scooting and then seriously like the next day it was a full on crawl.
Yesterday I sat her on the floor with Kaley when she was playing Wii so I could cook and then I hear, "Mom can you come get Lily!" She had crawled to the Wii box and was pushing all the buttons. I told Kaley this was just the beginning before long she's going to be in her room messing with all her toys. I don't think she believes me.
Not only is she crawling and sitting up, but she is also pulling up. Flo put her bed to the lowest and this is still how I find her after her naps. She looks too small to be doing this. Kaley seemed so much bigger when she was pulling up. She is so strong, there is no doubt she is going to be an athlete.

Kindergarten
So Kaley girl started Kindergarten yesterday. She was very excited. Last week we went and met her teacher and found out that 4 out of the 5 kids she knew going into Kinder were in her class. Even the little boy next door who she stalks. I've heard her teacher is very nice and the kids like her but a little disorganized. haha That's Kindergarten Mommy talk.
At Kinder Camp they were given a homework assignment to turn in on Monday. They had to make a cutout of themselves with things that describe them. This is Kaley's project. She is wearing a swimsuit, fishing in one hand and holding a picture of her and her sister in the other. Flo and I wanted to put a fajita in her hand, but she wanted a picture of her Sis. She also decorated her feet to look like her new sparkly Sketchers.
This is Kaley on her first day. I am so lucky that she doesn't care what she wears or how her hair is fixed. I still get to doll her up. However, she was very insistent on what shoes she wore. She really wanted the new Twinkle Toes Sketchers for the new school year. They are bright colored and covered in peace signs, bling and glitter. Plus they light up. She's crazy about them. The good thing about having our little neighbor boy in her class is that he can spy on her. I made sure to tell him to let me know if the shoes become a problem in class. He promised he would tell me. As my mom used to always say, "I have spies everywhere."
Kaley was very good when we got to school. She went right in, found her cubby and her seat and began her assignment. As I left her class and passed several crying Mommies I began praising God and singing Hallelujah. It was a nice and peaceful first day of school. I'm very proud of my Boo. She loved school and was very excited to go back.

Lily Turns 6 Months
My little Lilliana is 6 months old today. Wow how time flies. I need to find a way to slow it down. I also can't believe summer is almost over. I have to admit I am looking forward to Kaley going back to school, but not Flo. It's been so nice having him home for the summer. Now, here's a little update on how Lil-la has been doing:
When Lily was first born 6 months ago with a full head of dark hair and a tan she looked a lot like her Pepa Gonzalez. We were a little worried at first.
She has changed a lot since then.
She is always smiling, especially when you get her out of bed in the morning.
In addition to milk she is trying some new foods. She loves spinach, broccoli, bananas and of course...
peaches!!
Lil-la loves her peaches. Flo enjoys giving them to her because she seems to be a Daddy's girl whenever he is holding a peach. If we are holding Lily and eating she wants what we have. She is constantly trying to grab food out of our hands. I have a feeling she is going to have a love affair with food just like her sissa.
Lily is also beginning to sit up. She likes to sit on the floor and play with her toys, but only if Mommy is close by. She is becoming a lot more mobile and will probably be crawling or walking soon.
Happy 6 months Lil-la. They have been so much fun!!

Reeling It In
Kaley girl is quite the fisherman. Before we went to the lake Flo went out and bought her a small $10 Dora fishing pole.
Thinking she would maybe catch a few perches. Well, little did he know that as soon as she put her pole in the water she would catch perch and the occasional catfish. She literally casts the line and catches a fish. She uses chicken, lunch meat, corn and even fish as bait.
It's a good thing Kaley can catch fish so quickly at the boat dock because I'm sure if it took any patience (like fishing usually does) then she would not have been at all interested.

Peaches For Lily
Lily has begun her eating adventure. This time I decided to make her baby food, instead of buy it. So in the morning she has smashed bananas or pears and in the evening it's either sweet potatoes or her favorite a PEACH. Flo was the first to discover her love for peaches. He was eating a peach and gave her a taste. Well..he never got his peach back. She actually stole it from him.
This is the first peach tasting.
And... this is the peach swipe. First time she's ever held anything on her own. haha. It was a good peach.
This is the funniest video. Check it out. She loves her peaches.

Gonzalez Gardens
Flo's dad plants a garden every summer that always produces the hottest peppers, the juiciest tomatoes and the most perfect potatoes. Among several other things. So this year we decided to give it a try. We planted tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, jalapenos, cilantro, basil, parsley, and cherry tomatoes. We started the garden in May and here it is in July:
We have had some luck with it. The cucumbers have done the best. Every once in awhile we get a tomato. The basil is flourishing and the cilantro was good while it lasted. It's a lot of fun checking the garden everyday to see what's growing. Plus the produce tastes so amazingly fresh.
We were very excited to find all these cucumbers in the garden when we got home from Oklahoma. The cucumbers have defiantly been our biggest success. We are averaging about a cucumber a day, sometimes two. They are so yum!
We are very proud of our petite garden, but it is nothing compared to the grow masters. This is Papa Gonzalez's SUPER garden. He grows just about everything in there. Next year we are going to expand and maybe someday ours will live up the master's.

Aquapoluzza and Brady/Brian Visit
Oh WOW. I am so sorry I have been lacking on the Blog posts, but I have been starting up my own business. Been very stressed and very busy. Check me out at BeachTansAustin.com.
Ok so we are home from Ok and this past weekend Brady and Brian came to visit. Also this weekend was Aquapoluzza week on the lake. Aquapoluzza is a BIG on the water concert, and Mom and Dad's Marina was putting the whole thing on and had events going all week. We pretty much spent the week at the lake swimming, fishing, eating and drinking. Here are a few pics.
Kaley caught about 20 fish over the week. Including some pretty big cat fish, and yes that is a $10 Dora pole.
The babies!!
Brady got to stay with his cool Auntie Meghan and Uncle Flo one night. He is such a good boy and we miss him so much.
Orey is now a boat dog.
