Lily Sees Old People

This is Dixie. She is 92 years young. She is a member of Mom and Dad's church. Mom visits her every week. Last week she showed Dixie pictures of Lily and she said she wanted to squeeze her. So, today Lily visited Dixie. She sits on that bench all day and today we made her day. Dixie kept saying how beautiful Lily was and that we are going to be in trouble when she gets older. She absolutely adored her.
As we were visiting with Dixie I looked around at all the people around us. Older people fascinate me because they were around through the events I have only read about in History books. 92 years old, I mean that is crazy. She must know so much, and if she could hear me I would ask about all her experiences.
As we were visiting with Dixie I overheard an old man asking one of the woman workers if he would marry her. She kindly said she was already married and he said, "Oh that don't matter. I will still marry you." haha Who says those frisky 90 somethings in nursing homes can't get their mac on. Love it!! I think we will go back and have lunch with Miss Dixie next week.

Lilliana Smiles

It has been very difficult to get Lily girl smiling on camera. She smiles all the time, but as soon as we bring out the camera it's gone. Then we put it away and she smiles again. We did seem to get these three pictures. They're not the best, but you get the idea.
Haha. I love this picture. She is such a happy girl especially in the mornings. When she wakes up and sees our faces she starts cracking up. It's so sweet.
Lily also loves her big sis. Lily coos and smiles when Sis calls her name. She especially loves when Kaley sings to her.

An Eventfull Wedding

So this was the beginning of our wedding trip to Kerrville. They asked Kaley to be a flower girl and Flo to be a Groomsman. I was very nervous about Kaley standing still during the ceremony. Well, Kaley did AWESOME. She looked beautiful and did her duties as a flower girl very well. However, since we are Gonzalez we can't go anywhere without making a scene. It all started at George Straight's restaurant in San Antonio where the rehearsal dinner was. When the Bride and Groom gave Flo a gift I began pulling out the tissue paper and tossed a piece onto a candle. When I looked up I saw that our table was in flames. OOPS! I didn't know what to do, and Flo couldn't help me because he was holding Lily. Finally two ladies pounded out the flames. We were left with ashes all over us and our table. S0 embarrassing. All I could do is laugh.
But that's not where the embarrassment ends. The day of the wedding I was sitting in the car while the girls slept. I was holding Lily in my lap when I hear the most horrifying sound occur in her diaper. When I got up to change her I felt something dripping down my leg. I looked down to find yellow poo running down my white dress. Sorry for the graphic image, but it was gushing out. I have never seen anything like it. Luckily Flo walks out, and I just start laughing. We then worked together to get her wiped down on a park bench. Poor baby laid naked on a park bench drenched in yellow Poo. I ended up having to put on the same dress I wore the night before to the rehearsal dinner. Again... embarrassing!!! Later a lovely older women told me, "Oh honey they won't remember that you wore the same thing twice, they will remember you for setting the table on fire." Oh Brother! Can't take us anywhere.

Pretty People Discrimination

“But I say to you who hear,
Love your enemies,
do good to those who hate you,
bless those who curse you,
pray for those who abuse you."
Luke 6:27

Pretty People Discrimination is when someone doesn't like you because you're better looking than they are. (Junior High stuff) I know PPD exists because I have been a victim of it recently. Here are some signs of PDD:
1. When you first meet someone they decide they don't like you.
2. You are better looking than they are.
3. You have done nothing to offend this person.
4. This person thinks one way of you that people who know you would say is not true.
My beautiful best friend Shelley has been a victim of PPD her whole life. I know this because when I was in Jr. High I didn't like her, and even though I would have never admitted it then, it was because she was much prettier than me. As an adult I can now admit it, and have grown up. However, there are still some who have not grown out of this. We must pray for these people. I will soon deal with my victimization because I know it is the Devil trying to pull me away from what I am doing. He has a way with knowing exactly what discouraged me. PPD is a very serious problem and we should do what we can to STOP it!

Balloons

Kaley girl loves balloons. She just thinks they are the greatest thing ever made. Awhile back when we were living in Laguna she accidently let one of her precious balloons go and as we watched it float up into the sky she got very upset about her lost balloon. Being the clever mommy that I am I told her that God snatches up all those lost balloons and puts them in your room in Heaven. This quickly calmed her. We later took it a little further and told her when she is a good girl and pleases God he puts a new balloon in her room. Well, last night Flo's uncle Neal passed away and is now with the Lord. This morning I told Kaley that Neal was in Heaven and asked her what she thought he was doing she said, "I prayed to God that he would give Neal my balloons." She went on to say that he is also eating a big donut. haha Such a giver. It is comforting to know that Neal is now at peace with our Lord and Savior. Thank you for all the prayers.

School Carnival

The girls. Kaley is defiantly the cutest one. We got there late so she didn't get to put the green shirt on. Whenever I see these little girls I can't help but think about what they will be like as teenagers. I guess I'm just so terrified for my girls to be teens. Right now Kaley would rather hang out with her Mommy and Grandma than her friends. Even though that can be annoying at time I know it will not last long, so I am embracing it. I found a great Bible verse yesterday that I think every teen needs to hear. "Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." (2 Timothy 2:22) I just love that. Choose your friends wisely.

Kaley loves her Gma. Didn't want to hold the pig though. The pig was squealing like crazy. Only liked little boys. haha

"Mommy, I want a pony!"

Praying For Neil

For those of you who don't know, this is Flo's uncle Neil. Neil has been battling melanoma cancer for over a year and is about to lose his battle. The melanoma started on his back and spread to his brain and then rapidly spread all throughout his body. He tried chemo and radiation, but the cancer kept spreading. Neil lives in Dallas and Flo's mother, Brenda has been traveling back and forth from Bartlesville, Ok to Dallas for several months now. She is there right now to help Neil in his final days. Flo is very close to his uncle and is on his way to Dallas rightnow to say his goodbyes. Neil is a believer in Christ, so we know he will be going to a better place. However, he is in a lot of pain right now, so please pray that God will have mercy on him and give him some comfort. Also, please pray for Brenda who has been so amazingly strong through all of this. Safe travels for my hubby. Thank you. Love you all.

Lily Loves Her Baths

Bath time is a familiar thing for Miss Lila (Kaley's name for her). She is still spitting up a lot and gets very stinky and wet. Today she wore 6 different outfits because every time I changed her she spit up again. She doesn't just dribble either. She vomits. Poor baby. Today during her bath she had toe cheese, neck cheese, vajay cheese, arm pit cheese and hand cheese. Now, that is a lot of cheese, and I had just bathed her yesterday. However, when she 's clean she smells so good. Well, that is until she eats again. haha. Love her!

This is Us

So this is us. First post here we go: I wanted to start this Blog first because my best friend Leah basically begged me. She may be the only one that reads it because apparently she's pretty bored at work, but I also wanted to start it because I want to get away from the whole Facebook thing because really all those people don't need to know our business. However, I do still want my family and close friends to get updates from us. So Gonzalez Confessions was created. I've decided there will be a few categories for my Blog posts, one will be updates on our family, another will be updates on our Lily and the last will be called Confessions of a Bored Housewife. Now this last one will basically be how Meghan Gonzalez, a housewife, mother of 2 girls, Christian, Republican sees life. Finally, a forum for me to vent! haha. I may also get a little bit of Working Daddy Confessions in too. I will have to work on that one. Ok well come back often and I hope you enjoy!! Love you all! ~Meghan
