Kaley's Build A Bear Adventure

This year Kaley girl asked The Biads and KK and Papa for Build A Bear gift cards for Christmas and boy did she get them. I was actually pretty excited about this because I love BAB. Here are some pictures form her Build A Bear Adventures.

Her first BAB with the Biad's gift card was Clarice, Rudolph's girl. This is where she cleans her Reindeer. You can see the excitement in her face. haha

Here is the final result. This was a very expensive BAB because as you can see Clarice is wearing skates and she has 4 feet. So that means you have to buy 2 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of skates, and of course she needed a leash so she could be pulled around. That's where they get ya. But she sure is cute.

...and here she is rolling down the mall.

Now for her Tulsa BAB adventure.

This was KK's first BAB experience.

Making the BAB's Birth Certificates.

This time instead of pimping out just one bear I convinced her to get two. She now insists on sleeping with ALL her BABs. So between BABs and Pillow Pets in her bed I have no idea where she is going to sleep.

Introducing Bell the Horse and Peacy the Bear. Thanks KK, Papa and Biads for the fun Build A Bear Adventures.

Santa

Sorry it's been awhile since I posted. December is always crazy. Here are our recent Santa pictures. Enjoy!

Kaley was very excited to see Santa.

Lily.... not so much. She was fine until the obviously fake bearded man tried to hold her.

I believe she was asking him for a Baby Alive, a Robotic Dog and all the Pillow Pets. haha

Lily still not happy. I think she is trying to push him away.

Although, nothing is better than Kaley's first experience with Santa. Santa's face is also classic. Merry Christmas everyone.

Lily and Brady Turn 9 Months

So this month Lily and Brady turned 9 months and they couldn't be any more different. Brady has been hanging with us here in Austin for about a week while his Mommy and Daddy move to Houston. It's been a lot of fun getting to know him better. Here are the stats on our little babes.

At Lily's 9 month check up she weighed 16 lbs (10%) and measured 25 inches(40%). The doctor said she needs to gain some weight and told me to breast feed her more often. I told her I don't think a Reeves has ever been told to gain weight. I like that she's a small, petite little girl. Much easier to carry. The girl eats all the time. I can't imagine feeding her any more, but I am trying. I'll keep you posted. She is standing on her own, and she actually took a step the other day.

Now for Brady boy. I took him with me to the doctor and weighed him. He weighs 25 lbs. I didn't get to measure him, but if I had to guess I would say he is at least 2 to 3 inches longer than Lily. He may be a big boy, but he is the sweetest thing. He loves to snuggle and is ticklish all over. Brady is just beginning to stand up on his own. He is an excellent crawler and gets into everything.

Lily girl may be half Brady's size, but she is a BIG BAD Bully. If Brady is playing with a toy, she has to go investigate what he has, and then she takes it. She also likes to climb on top of him and pull his hair.

Lily gets very jealous when her mommy is holding Brady, and even more jealous when he has a bottle. Right before this video she climbed on top of him with with all her might tried to pull it out of his hands. Unlike the toys, he did not let her have it.

Here are some good pictures of their size difference.

Haha this picture cracks me up. Love these babies.

Halloween 2010

Our Halloween began on Friday morning when Flo got to go to Kaley's school and carve a pumpkin with her class. They both had a lot of fun and Kaley was very excited to have her Daddy at her school.

She loves her daddy! I think she kind of looks like him in this picture.

Of course she made a Vampire pumpkin.

During the day on Sunday Kaley, Grant (neighbor boy) and I went to the neighborhood Halloween festival. It was really lame until Kaley ran into some of her friends. Kaley and her friends were running around playing games so they could win candy. They acted like it was the only candy they were going to get all day. I had to remind them how much candy they would be getting later.

Orey also got all dressed up for the festivities. Whenever I put clothes on Orey she looks at me with such humiliation. Although, when she has an outfit like this on she doesn't act like such a bad ass. It's like she knows she looks ridiculous.

So this is the neighborhood clan. Jake and his girlfriend Madison also decided to come along. Daddies took the kids Trick or Treating while the Mommies sat on the lawn drinking and passing out candy. Haha. Best Halloween yet!!

After a few pictures the Dragon escaped and found something much more interesting... mulch!!

Then she found the candy bucket.

Lily got to try her first candy, tootsie Pop. She ate the whole darn thing. She will never know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. She sucked it in about one minute. She even chewed on the stick after the Lolly was gone. Here is Grandma getting a kick out of torturing my poor little Dragon.

Then after all the candy they could eat they ended the night with some yummy Austin Pizza. What a fun Halloween! Till next year.

Kaley Update

I wanted to do an update on how my Kaley girl has been doing.

She still has her moments, but the sweet Kaley that you sometimes saw- you see a lot more often. She is much more enjoyable to play with, and a whole lot easier to reason with. (Sometimes)

She is doing great in school. Her teacher and I figured out that if Kaley knows we are in constant contact, Kaley is more likely to behave in class. She has a lot of friends in her class, so she gets in trouble for talking and taddling. The teacher says she is getting better everyday. She is graded on a number scale for behavior. It's from 1-5. One being principal, 5 being excellent. Kaley gets a 5 about four times a week. The one day she gets a 4 it's usually for taddling. She says all the boys chase her on the playground. Scary!

She really enjoys learning her writing and reading. I find sweet little notes under my pillow. She is constantly asking me how to spell things and then writing it on her note pad. She can read books like, "Go Dog Go." She always comes home and does her homework first thing. Right now I call her homework "monkey homework" because a monkey could do it, but I know soon I will have no idea how to help her.

Kaley also started gymnastics last Wednesday. She has been begging me to take up gym again, and I finally gave in. She is enjoying it. On Tuesdays she does an after school program called Marathon Kids, where they run laps around the track for about 30 minutes. When the program is over she will have run a marathon. Her face is always bright red when I pick her up, and she digs it.

Love her!

Pumpkin Patch

Our neighborhood had a Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, so we decided to get all the babies in their costumes and take some pictures. . Each pumpkin was $10 for charity and the kids got to paint them. Very cool. I don't think these pictures could have come out any better. Enjoy.

Cheese!!

Orey was not too thrilled to be a pumpkin in 90 degree weather. Oh well it made for cute pictures.

Kaley painting her pumpkin. It turned out all different colors. It's our only Halloween decoration. Looks great on the front porch. She's very proud of it.

Haha. This picture cracks me up.

Orey, the pumpkin, on the look out.

My sweet little Lil. Had a lot of fun at the pumpkin patch. Very excited for Halloween. More pictures to come.

Fall Fest

Kaley's school had a Fall Festival on Friday, and it was an amazing Austin suburb spectacle. They had a cake walk, jumpy houses, games, food, a petting zoo, an auction, ice cream and my favorite fresh made kettle corn.

Kaley spent most of the time looking for her friends that she promised she would see there. Here are a few of her friends. Grant, Jake, Kaley and Jude. My three favorite boys in her class. So cute.

When Kaley finally gave up on finding all her friends she spent the rest of the night in the petting zoo. Here she is holding a baby chick.

Mommy doesn't do petting zoos especially after seeing a little girl get pooped on. Plus it was so sad seeing the animals hover in a corner to hide from all the grabby hands. Every time a kid picked up the poor pig his squeal could be heard from a mile away. Bordered on animal cruelty.

Kaley, believe it or not was very gentle and sweet to the animals. All she wanted to do was feed them. She did however beg for a pet chicken all the way home.

Meanwhile, Flo was determined to win the cake walk. He finally beat all those Elementary kids and won some chocolate chip brownies as his prize. They were delicious, but Kaley was a little upset he didn't get a cake.
